Celebrating our volunteers

Happy National Volunteer Week! We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible volunteers who help us here at Adelaide Zoo.

From making enrichment items for our animals to enjoy, to guiding and inspiring our visitors, we couldn’t do it without you!

As a conservation charity, we’re lucky to have hundreds of passionate people who volunteer thousands of hours every year, like Anna, who has been volunteering at Adelaide Zoo for over thirteen years.

After spending her working life in an office, it was only after retiring that Anna had the opportunity to spend her days with wildlife, spreading the wonder of our animals as a volunteer tour guide.

We rely on the invaluable support of our volunteers to help us continue our vital work connecting people with nature and saving species from extinction, so to have people like the wonderful Anna as part of our zoo family means the world.

Thank you, Anna, and all our other volunteers for your important and dedicated work. You’re the pride of the zoo!
