Storybook Adventure!

Open every day of the school holidays 9:30am – 5pm!

Grab your free storybook “The Tale Trail” on entry and let your imagination run wild these school holidays. Embark on a storytelling adventure through Adelaide Zoo and get up close with some of the zoo’s main characters including Giant Pandas, roaring tigers and the meerkat mob!

Spend the day creating your very own animal tales and join Adelaide author Karen Jones Hauser for a captivating storybook reading.

A story is waiting to be told… and YOU are the storyteller!

Storybook Reading

Tuesday 15 and 22 April 2025 at 12:00pm!

Enjoy Karen Jones Hauser’s reading of her storybook Poppy and the Great Ocean Garbage Patch, illustrated by Aboriginal artist Scott Rathman.

Plus! Pick up a free bookmark from the Zoo Shop as a souvenir on your way out.

Free Flight Bird Show

11.30am daily on the Central Lawn

Throw out a picnic rug and discover the super aerial skills of a range of species like the Barking Owl and Blue and Gold Macaw as they soar over your head.
