Adelaide Zoo

Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park to reopen on Monday!

We’re delighted to announce that due to the easing of SA Health’s Circuit Breaker restrictions both Adelaide Zoo and our sister site Monarto Safari Park will reopen to the public on Monday 23 November 2020 at 9:30am.

While both sites will be reopening, they will, however, be operating under our COVID Safe Plan guidelines, as per the changes on 17/11/20.
Restrictions will be as follows:
✅ The total number of members and visitors at both sites will be strictly limited to 1000 people at any one time.
✅ All members and visitors will need to book online at www.adelaidezoo.com.au/tickets
✅ All visitors are required to keep 1.5m social distance at all times
✅ 1 person per 4sqm indoors
✅ Observe good hygiene – clean hands and use of hand sanitizer applied regularly
✅ To stay at home if you are feeling unwell or have any COVID-19-like symptoms – we will happily welcome you back another time
✅ Masks, although not mandatory, are recommended by SA Health
Visitors who previously booked for Monday 23 November and Tuesday 24 November will have received a voucher via email that will allow them to rebook a visit for either these days or an alternative date. Please book online (as above) or if necessary, contact us here: www.zoossa.com.au/contact-us/.
Please note that some animal experiences are currently unavailable. However, the Giraffe Feed and Panda and Friends at Adelaide Zoo and Lions 360 and Giraffe Safari at Monarto Safari Park will operate – all within the COVID Safe Plan. This means that the capacity for Lions 360 is 15 people and does not include the option to feed the lions.
We will endeavor to deal with all customer queries as soon as possible with some members of our Visitor Services team answering queries from Sunday.
Due to the fast-changing nature of these circumstances, our team will, understandably, be under great pressure to respond to such a high volume of enquiries and bookings. We would really appreciate you extending the patience and kindness that you have shown us throughout the pandemic while we deal with your queries. To facilitate the speed of response, we’d love for you to contact us through via our Contact Us page (link above).
As always, if you’re feeling unwell please stay home and get tested as soon as possible.
We thank each and every one of you for the support you have shown us over this difficult and ever-changing time.
Please enjoy your weekend, keep safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you from Monday!
