Help name the Cotton-top Tamarin twins!
It’s International Tamarin Day and what better way to celebrate than helping chose the ‘pawfect’ names for Adelaide Zoo’s Cotton-top Tamarin twins.
The set of critically-endangered cotton-tops were born in August to mum, Peppa, and dad, Gomez, and spend their time exploring their habitat on the back of their parents and helpful older siblings.
Cotton-top Tamarins are very easy to recognise with a large white crest of hair, which will stand on end when alarmed or excited to make their appearance look bigger and more impressive.
International Tamarin Day celebrates all tamarin species from the Cotton-top to the Golden Lion and Emperor. The day recognises the threats these amazing primates face in the wild, and raises awareness about the conservation work being done across the world to protect them for future generations.
Zoo-goers can see the month-old Cotton-top twins by visiting the Tamarin House and keeping an eye on the tunnels overhead.
Vote for your favourite name for your chance to win a double pass to Giraffe Feed including entry to Adelaide Zoo.
Competition ends midnight, Sunday 29 September 2024. Terms and Conditions apply
