*Terms, conditions and limits apply. Free child tickets only valid between 1–31 August 2026. Free child tickets are valid for children aged 4–14 inclusive. Limit of three free child tickets per adult. No free tickets for school and OSHC groups, events, experiences or Monarto Safari Park entry.

During August, any child up to 14 years can enter for FREE to celebrate the Giant Pandas’ birthdays!

The zoo’s favourite black-and-white bears both mark their birthdays over the next month, with Yi Lan turning five on 10 August and Xing Qiu turning six on 29 September.

Celebrate the Giant Pandas’ Birthdays

August is panda party month at Adelaide Zoo!

Join us as we celebrate the birthdays of the beloved Giant Pandas, Yi Lan and Xing Qiu. Yi Lan turns five on 10 August, while Xing Qiu celebrates his sixth birthday on 29 September.

Keep an eye out for birthday-themed enrichment, special keeper talks and plenty of opportunities to watch the pair enjoying their favourite treats throughout the month.
