Beaking the Binary

The science of diversity trail

Self-guided trail | Included with Zoo entry.

Celebrate our natural differences at Adelaide Zoo with Beaking the Binary, a self-guided trail exploring the rich diversity of reproductive, sex, and social behaviours in the animal kingdom.

Running throughout the year, this trail takes visitors on a journey across the zoo to discover animal species that exhibit diverse reproductive, sex, and social behaviours.

Nature is far from uniform – and this trail shows just how flexible, adaptive and surprising evolution can be.
