Adelaide Zoo Education

General Information

The AZES provide a range of programs to help teachers provide fun, interesting and educational experiences both at the Zoo and at your school. These programs are for students of all ages, ranging from Kindergarten through to Secondary on a variety of topics. Look at the list of programs offered by the AZES to find out more.

We also provide a Teacher Inservice day during each school holidays. Look at the list of AZES programs to find out more.

Programs at the Zoo may be self-directed or may involve input from an Educational Officer. If you are planning your own Zoo visit, you may like to download one of our Self directed trails or look at the other resources available including a map.

If organising a visit to the Zoo is difficult for your school, we also provide a range of programs that can be sent to you and completed at school. Look at the list of Educational programs offered by the AZES to find out more, or discover Zoomobile a travelling Zoo that brings a range of native animals to your metropolitan school or kindergarten to compliment its interactive educational programs.

All programs and visits must be booked through the AZES by contacting us on tel. (08) 8267 2434 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. We can also give you advice on how to structure your experience based on your individual needs and interests.
