Zoos SA Goes Smoke Free
Zoos SA has officially banned smoking by the general public in its Zoos.
Since the beginning of 2008, Zoos SA has been trialing a ‘no smoking’ policy at both Adelaide and Monarto Zoos. After careful monitoring, it has been decided that the policy will no longer be a trial, but come into force on a permanent basis.

Bamboo for Giant Pandas - You can help

We are expecting Giant Panda’s at Adelaide Zoo late 2009.
Giant Panda’s main source of nutrition is Bamboo; it has been documented that these animals can eat up to 50kg per animal per day.

Federal Panda Support
President of Zoos S.A. Heather Caddick says “We are delighted with the announcement made today by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, that the Federal Government will be supporting the Giant Panda partnership between China and Adelaide Zoo”.
